"Invention" for IF

I totally forgot yesterday was friday until about eleven o' clock,so I did my illustration this morning. I really like the theme and flavor of this project, but the gears look kind of funny. I have no idea how to make good looking gears. Anyways, plans for more of this series are in the works. Just imagine the gropeular or the fibrizer. Truly frightening.

"Thanksgiving" for IF

Heh. I hate Stuffing. It's the only part of the Thanksgiving feast I don't like. This is how it looks to me, except the skulls are generally only imaginary.

EDIT: Well. I'm a jackass. I accidentally submitted this wit hmy "clear" jpeg and IF won't let me resubmit or edit my old submission, so I'm stuck looking like a fool. Dang.

"Clear" for IF

I saw that "Clear" was this week's theme, and the phrase "crystal clear" popped into my head. The other idea I considered was bubbles, because they're clear too, and interesting, but I couldn't think of a good way to put them in context. I was originally going to stick this crystal in a larger piece of rock, and give it more detail, but it fell into that sort of grimy area between simplicity and reality. I looked worse, trust me.
I wanted to do a picture of one of the Herkimer Diamonds my dad or I had found, but I don't have a camera yet ( I might be getting one for my birthday) so I snagged this picture off of the internet.

"Smoke" for IF

This is my fist attempt at an Illustration Friday project. I really had fun with it, and it wasn't too hard for me to think of something to do. I didn't set a time limit or anytihng for myself because I had to figure out how to do everything for the first time. ( Prior to this I had never needed to save anything for thumbnails).
